The Mar Menor is about 20 minutes by car. It lies to the South of Cabo Roig and is a natural lagoon separated from the Mediterranean by the La Manga strip. This setting has everything you need for water sports: great weather, a constant breeze, calm and shallow waters (less than seven metres at the deepest point), there is no wonder it is considered one of Europes best sailing destinations.

Water sports enthusiasts will be spoilt for choice with sailing, canoeing, swimming, waterskiing, jet-skiing, fly-surfing, windsurfing and every other type of nautical activity you can imagine.

The stretch of land that separates the Mar Menor from the Mediterranean, called La Manga ('the sleeve'), is 24 kilometres long and between 200 metres to 1.5 kilometres in width. La Manga del Mar Menor is located between two seas and as such boasts infinite beaches, sandy seabeds and crystalline waters. The Mar Menor beaches are particularly popular with families with young children, because the warm, shallow water offers bathing fun for all ages.

It has high water temperatures, providing excellent conditions for all types of water sports.

The local town of Torrevieja is about 4 miles away, with excellent beaches and an array of wonderful restaurants, bars, and several markets including a well known fish market.

Murcia is about a 45 minute drive away, certainly amongst the famous visiting points for any traveller is the Cathedral de Santa Maria. Finished in the 15th century the cathedral is the most impressive monument of Murcia, along with museums and an old casino it is a beautiful Spanish City.

There are three golf courses within a 10 minute drive from the Villa. The choice of course will depend on what you require and how good you are. Campoamor Par 71 - 5830 M With magnificent views, this course is situated in two valleys. The first nine holes are fairly open, the back nine are more demanding as they wind down through the steep sided hills. Las Ramblas Par 72 - 5770 M Designed byJose Gancedo. A demanding course featuring high trees and narrow fairways. Villa Martion Par 72 - 6132 M A Championship course. Previously hosting the Mediterranean open. A very challenging course.
